How do I register on the Pachads Console?
  • In order to register an account on the Pachads Console, please follow these steps:

1. Click on “SignUp” or “Get Started” buttons (within the Advertiser and Publisher sections)


2. Fill the requested information



3. Select your account type from the available pre-defined profiles.

4. Click “Sign Up” and you’re ready to go.

An email confirmation will be sent to the informed email address. You can now access with the user id and password entered to Pachads Console.

Tips for a correct Publisher account setup

Do you have mobile traffic?

  • If your answer is YES, we suggest you to create a MOBILE PLACEMENT specific to monetise your mobile traffic.

Why you should do this?

  • Because is the only way the Advertisers can promote their campaigns using Carrier targeting – the ones with highest payouts (some advertisers can pay up to 12U$ CPM for some specific carriers!!)

And if your technology only allows you to set up one tag for both desktop and mobile traffic?

  • If more than 50% of your traffic is mobile we suggest you to create a Mobile Placement, if is less than 50% than create a standard Site Placement; you will still be able to receive mobile campaigns, but not those ones that have specific carrier targeting setup.

Do we have Simple Iframe tags?

  • Pachads has enabled you the following tags: JSP, PHP, JS Sync, JS Async, API, Iframe Sync, Iframe Async
  • If you prefer you can also integrate our Simple Iframe; you only need to request it to your account manager and he will send it to you in less than 48 hours.

Would you like to run Popunder ads?

  • Popunder is one of the most demanding formats and offers to you the highest payouts. At the same time you need to be smart and do a correct setup to avoid Google punishments.
  • To  setup your Popunder:
    • Create a Non-Standard Placement
    • Go to the lateral bar and click on Placement Capping
  • Add the desired frequency capping for your popunder. We recommend 1 for each 12 hours (per ip). More conservative publishers display 1/24 and less conservative 3/24. (Be aware: for Mobile popunders, you should never display more than 3 popunders in 24 hours)
  • Testing our Pops:
    • The template Pachads works like that: the user need to click in the area you specify on your website for the popunder to open in a different tab on his browser.

Do you offer an “Advertiser Referral Program”?

Currently the referral program is only for Publishers. The great news is that we’re working on having this fantastic program also available for Advertisers.

How can I get my website/app approved?

Before you create a Publisher Account or request a new site for approval, you should check our Guidelines and Terms of Use to make sure that your website complies with our standards. We check manually all sites and apps that are submitted to us.

Where on my website should I place the ads?

We are strong believers in not over-loading your website with ad placements as this can generate “creative fatigue” as well as have a negative impact on user experience. Our suggestion is to be strategic i.e. look for a reasonable balance in terms of the supported ad formats, frequency, positioning, and apply any necessary restrictions if needed – these will help contribute towards stronger CTRs and performance results for advertisers (and commitment in your traffic), increased user loyalty, and drive higher earning potential for you.

Can I decide what type of ads appear on my website?

Yes, when setting up your account we will send you our KYP – “Knowing Your Publisher” – form where you will see an extensive list of restrictions based on ads formats, contents, and categories that you can select to be excluded. Doing this, you will only see permitted ads being displayed on your website. 

Is Post-Payment available?

Yes, only for selected advertisers with a clean track record and able to commit monthly budget in excess of US$20,000.

When and how will I get paid?

Pachads issue payments in both currencies – US Dollars and Euros – regardless that the platform shows only figures in US Dollars.

We offer payments on Net 7, Net 14 and Net 30 through Paypal, Wire Transfers and Paxum. The minimum amount is 50USD for PayPal & 250USD for Wire Transfers & Paxum.

Once the activity of the calendar month is closed, you can send an invoice to or receive a Payment Order with the amount to be paid for your confirmation & account validation. When the minimum amount has not been reached, the current balance is incorporated in the following month.

Confirmed payments are automatically scheduled and paid.

How do I earn money from referrals?

Pachads has a Referral Program that is integrated into your Publisher account. You can earn up to 5% of Publisher Payouts for each account referred to Pachads, over their lifetime. You can find different promotional material on our console to promote Pachads on your site.

All clients referred to us will go through the approval process by our Compliance team.

How do I create a new sub-advertiser?

Within your advertiser account you have the ability to use the “Advertisers” Tab to create new sub-advertisers – this is particularly relevant if you need to segment 3rd party offers. In order to create a new advertiser on Pachads Console you must understand the hierarchy within our platform. Below is the explanation and steps to create one:

Advertiser. This is the highest level of division, which is generally used to group all the ads of a certain advertiser.

Campaign. This level allows you to divide all the Banners of an Advertiser into separate groups by a certain attribute.

Banner. On this level the Advertiser can configure the ad settings and preferences, upload creatives, etc.

How do I create a new campaign?

In order to create a new campaign related to your Advertiser’s account on Pachads Console, please follow these steps:

1. Select the advertiser on the left side of the screen, and click on “Add New Campaign”:


2. Campaign basic information will appear:


  • ON: When selected, all banners related to this campaign will be active. When not selected, all banner will be deactivated.
  • Weight: Pachads’s Ad Server provides a flexible mechanism for the prioritisation of campaigns and banners. Changing the weight value of the campaigns and/or banners does this.

3. Click “Save”.

How do I create a new Banner?

In order to create a new Banner related to your campaign on the Pachads Console, please follow these steps:

1. Select the type of Banner you wish to create. For this example, we’ll create a Display 300×250 banner:


      • Site Placement: Standard Display formats.
      • Non-Standard Placement: Custom Display formats.
      • Mobile Site Placement: Standard & Custom Mobile formats

2. Once the type of banner is selected, you’ll be prompted to include the necessary information of the banner:


3. Enter the Banner Name.

4. Change the Banner Weight (1-32767; the higher the weight value is – the greater the probability).

5. Select the needed Ad Unit:

  • Banners for Standard Site Placements: Leaderboard (728×90); Medium Rectangle (300×250); Rectangle (180×150); Full Banner (468×60); Skyscraper (120×600); Custom Banner Size; Wide Skyscraper (160×600); Half Page Ad (300×600); Button 2 (120×60); Micro Bar (88×31); XXL Box (468×648).
  • Banners for Non-Standard Site Placements: Pop-Under (720×300); Pop-Up (300×250); Square Pop-Up (250×250); Pop-Up Large (550×480); Third Party Integration Code; Skin; Template; Custom Pop-Up; Custom Pop-Under.

6. Specify the Banner Type: Local File; External File; HTML Code; Template.

7. Upload the Banner creative depending on the Banner Type you’ve selected:

  • For Local File, click Browse and navigate to a Local File on your computer; fill in the Banner Title and specify the redirect URL:



  • For an External File, insert a link to a Flash Banner File or to an Image Banner File; specify the redirect URL:


  • If you need an HTML Code Banner Type, paste the advertising tag code into the corresponding frame:


  • For the Template Banner Type, choose the template you need from the list:



8. Please check on “How to setup your tracking link” to make sure you setup the landing page containing all necessary tokens.

9. Click “Save” and your banner is ready to start receiving traffic according to the targeting, limits and pricing included.

How do I create my video Ad Campaign?

Video Ad Campaigns

Video Ad Campaigns in Pachads are designed specifically for advertising that comes with Video content.

To create a Video Ad Campaign:

    1. Log into your network account and go to the Advertiser tab.
    2. Select an existing Advertiser > Campaign or add the new ones.
    3. Click the  button and fill out the Create New Banner form:

For graphical ad:

      • Enter the Banner Name.
      • Choose Ad Unit size: Video Overlay (450×50) or Custom Video Overlay Banner Size (and fill in your creative size).
      • Specify the Banner Type:
        • Local File: Allows uploading Overlay Banner creatives from your computer.
        • External File: Allows using a URL to the Overlay Banner creative.
        • HTML Code: Used to insert Advertising tags.
      • URL field: Fill in the link to the Landing Page which will be opened when the ad is clicked.
      • Choose Non-linear Video ad from the In-Stream Video Type field (an ad type that runs along with the video content). Common Non-linear ads include overlays (which are shown directly over the video content), and product placements (placed within the video content itself).

For video ad:

      • Enter the Banner Name
      • Choose Ad Unit size: Video Overlay (450×50) or Custom Video Overlay Banner Size (and fill in your creative size).
      • Specify the Banner Type:
        • Local Video: Use this Banner Type to upload a local video file as an ad source.
        • External Video: Used for uploading Video file via URL.
        • Third Party Vast/VPAID Tag URL: Designed for either VAST 2.0/3.0 or VPAID tags provided by the Advertiser
      • URL field: Fill in the link to the Landing Page which will be opened when the ad is clicked.
      • Choose Linear Video ad from the In-Stream Video Type field. A Linear Video ad is presented before (pre-rolls), during (mid-rolls) or after (post-rolls) the video content is viewed.
  1. Click Save. You will be redirected to the Video Placement page.

VAST Event Tracking

Pachads supports VAST events tracking. In order to enable this feature, select the items you need in the Vast Events pane of the Banner page:

  • AD START – Video ad or overlay display started.
  • AD FIRST QUARTILE – 25% of the Video ad was viewed.
  • AD MID POINT – 50% of the Video ad was viewed.
  • AD THIRD QUARTILE – 75% of the Video ad was viewed.
  • AD COMPLETE – Video ad or overlay display completed.
  • AD PAUSE – Video ad display paused.
  • AD RESUME – Video ad display resumed after a pause.
  • AD CREATIVE VIEW – a creative element was displayed.
  • AD MUTE – Video ad was muted.
  • AD UNMUTE – Video ad was unmuted.
  • AD FULLSCREEN – Video ad full-screen mode was toggled.
  • AD EXIT FULLSCREEN – Video ad full screen was exited.
  • AD EXPAND – Video ad was switched to the expanded view mode.
  • AD COLLAPSE – User exited the expanded view mode.
  • AD SKIP TRACKING – User skipped the Video Ad.



In order to see statistics for these events:

  1. Log into your network account and navigate to the Analytics tab.
  2. Select the Breakdown By Action checkbox and choose the Actions you would like to track from the corresponding list.
  3. Select the Video Ad Campaign(s) from the Advertisers Filter.
  4. Set another reporting options and click Run Report.

With Pachads  it is possible to track Impressions, Clicks, Progress, and Events for third-party ad servers. To do so, go to the Advertiser > Campaign > Banner and enable the 3rd Party Tracking Codes field. Fill in the Tracking URL, choose Tracking Type and click : Third Party VAST Events Tracking



How do I setup a tracking link?

In order to setup your tracking link, you need to follow these steps:

When creating your banner, you have to include the landing page/URL of that specific ad. When doing this, you have the possibility of including any of the following tokens to track the user’s activity on your URL:

  • $$ACTION_DATA$$ -> To track the Click ID
  • $$PUBLISHER_ID$$ -> To track the Publisher’s ID/ Site ID
  • $$PLACEMENT_ID$$ -> To track the placement’s ID
  • $$TIMESTAMP$$ -> To track the time of the action
  • $$REMOTE_LANGUAGE$$ -> Language of the client’s browser (i.e.: en).
  • $$REMOTE_COUNTRY$$ -> Client’s country code (US, UK).
  • $$REMOTE_COUNTRY_NAME$$ -> Full country name.
  • $$REMOTE_CITY$$ -> City name.
  • $$CLIENT_USER_AGENT$$ -> Returns User Agent information.
  • $$RANDOM$$ -> Returns a random numeric string.
  • $$CAMPAIGN$$ -> Campaign name.
  • $$BANNER_NAME$$ -> Banner name.
  • $$BANNER_ID$$ -> Banner ID.
  • $$OS_NAME$$  -> Operating system.

How do I setup a Desktop Popunder ad?

In order to create a Popunder you must follow these steps:

1. Click on “Add New Banner”

2. Select the “Non-standard banner” option


3. Include the banner information and select the Ad unit: Template


4. Select Template: Tab-under v.1 (non-std) (global) and enter your tracking url (Landing page):


PS: Tabunder ads are similar to Popunder ads. Tabunder ads appear in the background browser tab. Both Desktop and Mobile platforms support tabunder ads.

How do I create a new site?

In order to create a new site on the Pachads Console, please follow these steps:

1. Click on the Publisher Tab


2. Click on the New Site box, in case you have already created sites, you can click on the + sign on your left bar


3. Basic information on your website is requested at this stage. Your site can have multiple zones and multiple placements in each zone. This will help you segment and organise your traffic to obtain the highest payout possible.



4. When you click “Save” you will access the following screen that confirms the site creation (displayed on the left bar) and enables you to create zones and administer general aspects such as limits, pre-targeting, capping, etc.


How do I know if my site has been approved?

When accessing the information on your site by clicking on it on the left bar, you’ll be able to see 3 different statuses:

  • Site Pending – means that your site is still in our site approval process by our Compliance Team.
  • Site Approved – Congratulations! An automatic email will be sent confirming your site has been approved.
  • Site Rejected – Oh dear. An email will be sent explaining the reasons for the rejection and suggestions on how to get it approved in accordance with our Guidelines so we can begin monetising it. 


How do I create a new ad zone?

In order to create a new ad zone related to your site on the Pachads Console, please follow these steps:

1. Select your site on the left bar and click on “Add New Zone” at the header of the screen:


2. A Zone description and basic details of it can be included. Zones will allow you to segregate your placements as you wish. Mobile & Desktop, different formats, or just 1 zone for all placements.


3. Click “Save”.

How do I create a new ad placement?

In order to create a new ad placement related to your site & zone on the Pachads Console, please follow these steps:

1. Select your site on the left bar and click on it to access all available zones. Click on the selected zone and click on “Add New Placement” to select the type of placement you wish to create:


      • Site Placement: Standard Display formats.
      • Non-Standard Placement: Custom Display formats.
      • Mobile Site Placement: Standard & Custom Mobile formats

2. Select the type of placement from the list. For this example we’ll create a Display Site Placement with a format of 300×250:


      • Name: You can create logical denominations to your placements as you wish. Normally we invite partners to maintain the automatic name assignment.
      • ON: You can active or deactivate this placement by clicking on this box. There’s no need to delete the placement to ensure the deactivation of it.
      • Size: All available Standard Display formats for your selection.
      • Flexible Placement Size: This checkbox identifies if the Ad Units (Banners) that are smaller than the Placement size can be linked to the Placement.
      • Default Code: In case there is no banner that would fit a certain user, the Default Code will be displayed. The impression won’t be counted towards Pachads’s Analytics.
      • Refresh After Seconds: Recalls the Placement after a given period of time. In this way multiple Banners can be shown (only for the iframe Invocation Codes).
      • Description: Free text to enable you to include any information related to this placement.

3. Click “Save”

4. Once you have saved you Placement, you can select the invocation code you wish to use, define any pre-targeting if required, inform limits & capping for that specific unit, etc.

How can I access the placement’s invocation code?

In order to obtain the invocation code of the placement created by a self-service publisher or on a statistical account, please follow these steps:

1. Access the platform using your credentials.

2. Click on “Publishers” tab:


3. Your site will appear on the left panel. You can click on the zone indicator or click on the arrow symbol to the left of the site’s name to expand zone details:


4. Your zone will appear below the site name. To access the placement level, please click on the placement indicator or click on the arrow symbol to the left of the zone name. Now you can see all available placements and select the one to expand the details by clicking on it:

5. Now you’re looking at the details of the selected placement. Please scroll down on the main screen to see the invocation codes:


6. You can select the format you’d like to obtain your invocation code and click on “Download Code”:


7. You can select the method and destination of the invocation code in your device:


8. If you select “Open with” the selected application will open for you to see the invocation code. If “Save File” is the one selected, a file will be automatically downloaded to your device containing the requested code.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you’re creating a mobile placement and you would like to integrate with out iframe sync code, please don’t forget to update the width and height parameter by your actual ad placement size. See example below:

Where can I set up my Postback url?

Under the Placement level, you can configure a Piggyback (postback) url, which will allow you to be notified when a conversion occurs.

To start using our Piggyback functionality, please follow these steps:

1 – Log into your network account and go to the Publishers pane:

2 – Select an existing Site or Placement, or add the new ones.

Please note: Site level Piggybacks will be ignored if the Placement level Piggybacks are configured.

3 – Activate the Piggyback pane from the right side menu:

4 – Select the Piggyback type depending on the tracking method: Piggyback Beacon for Pixel Tracking OR  Piggyback URL for S2S methods.

5 – Paste your Piggyback Beacon (JS-only) or Piggyback URL and Click Save.

Piggybacks support the following Pachads macros:

Video Inventory: how can I create a video placement?

A Video Placement is a rotation pool of video ads. There are four ways to display this type of ad units:

  • Pre-Roll Ad – a video ad shown before the video content.
  • Mid-Roll Ad – a video ad appearing as a break during the video content.
  • Post-Roll Ad – a video ad shown after the video content has ended.
  • Overlay Ad – a graphical ad covering the bottom third part of the video player window.

To add a Video Placement please follow the following steps:

    1. Log into your Pachads Console account and go to the Publishers tab.
    2. Select an existing Site > Zone or add new ones.
    3. Click the Add Video Placement button and fill out the form that appears:

      • Vast 3.0 Config – settings for the Skip Ad button behaviour:
        • Show Skip Ad Button. Select this checkbox to allow skipping ads.
        • Show After (seconds) Defines when the Skip Ad button will be displayed.
    1. Click Save. You will be forwarded to the Video Placement card where you can specify additional settings and get the VAST 3.0 and VAST 4.0 tags, which should then be inserted to your player. VAST tags can be validated beforehand with the help of VideoHub’s VAST/VPAID Video Validator.

NB: HTML Samples are the examples of how the codes should be inserted to the players, and not the actual Invocation Codes.

In addition to the regular settings available for all placement types, Video Placements include Vast Progress Events and 3d Party Vast Tracking settings.

Vast Events

Pachads’ Ad Server supports VAST events tracking. In order to enable this feature, select the items you need in the Vast Events pane:

  • AD START – Video ad or overlay display started.
  • AD FIRST QUARTILE – 25% of the Video ad was viewed.
  • AD MID POINT – 50% of the Video ad was viewed.
  • AD THIRD QUARTILE – 75% of the Video ad was viewed.
  • AD COMPLETE – Video ad or overlay display completed.
  • AD PAUSE – Video ad display paused.
  • AD RESUME – Video ad display resumed after a pause.
  • AD CREATIVE VIEW – a creative element was displayed.
  • AD MUTE – Video ad was muted.
  • AD UNMUTE – Video ad was unmuted.
  • AD FULLSCREEN – Video ad full-screen mode was toggled.
  • AD EXIT FULLSCREEN – Video ad full screen was exited.
  • AD EXPAND – Video ad was switched to the expanded view mode.
  • AD COLLAPSE – User exited the expanded view mode.
  • AD SKIP TRACKING – User skipped the Video Ad.

Custom VAST events

If none of the predefined VAST events meet your needs, it is possible to add custom events to your Video Placement. To do so:

    1. Log into your network account and go to the Actions tab.
    2. Add a new Action.
    3. Go to the Publishers tab and navigate to the Site > Zone > Video Placement.
    4. Click Vast Progress Events from the right side menu. Click the disclosure triangle on the Vast Progress Events pane if it is collapsed:

      • Select the Action you created from Event Action the list.
      • Set the Time for the Action to take place during the Video ad display in one of the following formats:

NB: If the VAST action is enabled on the Placement card, it will be tracked for the linked Banner(s) as well, and vice versa.

How can I get my Server-to-Server (S2S) postback link?

In order to pick-up your postback link you must follow these steps:

1. Click on the campaign you want to get a postback from.

2. Enable the “Actions” feature in the right-hand panel:


3. Select the action from the Actions panel and click on settings wheel:


4. A new window will appear. Please select the “Server 2 Server” tab to access the action track URL:


5. Replace the $$ACTION_DATA$$ value by your CLICK_ID.


Why are your statistics different to mine?

Several reasons would explain such a discrepancy:

  1. What are your stats tracking? We only register stats that are genuine impressions/clicks. If you see additional impressions/clicks on your reports, do review the bot/fraude tools you have in place.
  2. Is your tracking set up correctly? Setting up the tracking tag on a different location will create this kind of discrepancy.
  3. Time Zones. Our stats are based on GMT hours. Check your report time zones to ensure the time difference is not the reason for the discrepancy.

Why do I see discrepancies when targeting mobile carrier traffic?

Mobile carrier user’s identification is very complex (3G/4G).

We use third-party databases of IP addresses to identify carriers requiring constant maintenance. Depending on the targeting option you are using, and how that option is identifying users (IP addresses, ISP name…) you may see differences. For this reason we can not guarantee the accuracy of this identification.

If you require 100% accuracy, we suggest you to use your own IP address ranges. This will ensure you’re targeting to your desire and updated IP ranges / carriers.

Can you serve ads/placements via API?

Pachads Ad Server includes the functionality to serve ads via Application Program Interface (API).

To find out your network-specific parameters, switch to the API tab of the Invocation Codes window:

In order to request an ad from a certain Placement you should send the parameters listed below within HTTP GET or POST request to the Request URL. Available response formats are: HTML (default), XML, JSON and JSONP.

When there is no Banner that can be displayed, the response code would be the same (200 OK), but a No-impression beacon will be served instead of banner markup.

Custom Parameters in API request

Epom Ad Server provides an option to pass Custom Parameters in API request – please contact Pachads Support Team for a list of these. The general syntax for the parameters should be cp.[parameter-name]=[parameter-value]. For example: ‘cp.price=42’ or ‘cp.product=shoes’. The parameter separator is ‘&’.
